Voyagers Ensemble

Trio

BIOGRAPHY

The Voyagers Ensemble project was born in 2020 from the collaboration of Maestro Damiano Maria Carissoni with Soprano Yuko Boverio. The name express the nomadic character of the artists, travelers to spread their sensibility, and the character of their performances that cross different styles, eras and genres. In their first performances, in the form of a duo with a purely lyrical, sacred and chamber Italian and international music repertoire, they have partecipate as much in musical evenings, as guests, as in events dedicated to them. They have often collaborated with artists who have joined them in arias and pieces whose presence was needed.

The turning point came in 2022 when saxophonist Stefano Boverio was added to the original nucleus. From this moment the Voyagers Ensemble became the current group characterized by totally innovative interpretations with a newfound freshness. Unpublished transcriptions and original arrangements see the unusual and revolutionary participation of the saxophone even in the classical and operatic tradition. The repertoire also expands further to embrace harmonies of different styles and traditions with unheard sounds that draw the boundaries of a new crossover.

The artistic and interpretative skills of each member make the performances highly engaging. The result is an extraordinary, modern show capable of enrapturing the audience on a cutting-edge musical journey.

The melodies of long known arias and songs are dressed in unexpected, surprising and breathtaking nuances.
