BIOGRAPHY

Born in Guatemala, she began her musical education at the age of five studying solfege and violin.
She attended the ‘Jesús María Alvarado’ School of Music in Guatemala City and obtained the master’s degree in Opera Singing at the “Luca Marenzio” Conservatory in Brescia, Italy.

 

Over the years, she has had the opportunity to attend the masterclasses of the Israeli Soprano Ettie Kahan, of the English Countertenor Charles Brett and of the Italian Soprano Luciana Serra, exploring the baroque style and coloratura.

 

Together with her maestros, Soprano Laura Londi and Baritone Carlo Meliciani, -“Teatro alla Scala” artist as well as among the most important figures in the field internationally- she is perfected in vocal technic in the highest school of opera singing mainly in the Opera and Belcanto repertoire.

 

She counts partecipations in performances and recitals in Mexican, Central American, Spanish, Polish and Italian theatres.

 

Since 2012, she has been collaborating with the Italian Association “Caputo Children’s Fund OdV”, promoting its charitable activities for children and poor people in Guatemala through live gigs.

MUSIC

Her most performed roles include Gilda from Giuseppe Verdi’s “Il Rigoletto”, Musetta from Giacomo Puccini’s “La Bohème” and Norina from Gaetano Donizetti’s “Don Pasquale”.

 

In the Symphonic repertoire, she sang Mozart’s “Requiem” and “Coronation Mass”, Schubert’s “Mass in G Major”, and among other compositions, Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana”.

 

She recorded 3 discs: “Concierto para una voz” (1995), “Galà Lirico” (2005) and “Il Bacio” (2015).
